People who have blogs usually have something important to write about, like kids, jobs, travel, or just a really good thought.
Me, I have a rainy day, a paint brush and new tables (second hand new)!
Our new kitchen table.. with a leaf for extra seating of course!
Ugly brown/brass lamp turned beautiful and bright.
But this table just did NOT work out ....
The paint just will not stick!! I even sanded and primed the table (don't worry I am still looking for a job). What I think went wrong was that I used an oil based primer and then a water based paint..? Ideas?
Whatever it is, I am going out and getting more sand paper and dealing with it.
In other news, our bed delivery guys went to the wrong house or something and now we will be on the air-mattresses for ten more days!!

I just click on the link at the end of your post where it says comments and I comment. haha But love the kitchen table. So cute! Mom would know why your table didn't work. She is the painting queen.

ReplyDeleteI love all the creative ideas you have! Yes, you would need to have a water base primer and water base paint. Because water base paint won't adhere to oil base primer. Have fun. I was so excited to see a new blog!! Keep them coming.
Actually, you can paint with latex paint over oil base primer, but you can't paint latex over oil base PAINT. Is the primer sticking to the table well?
